My name is Maria and I operate a licensed cottage bakery in Maple Valley, WA. I started decorating cookies for my daughter's birthday and I couldn't wait until her birthday would come around so I can decorate again. Then, I had my son and learned that he had a lot of allergies, which is why I was inspired to make allergen-friendly (dairy-free, egg-free, nuts-free) decorated cookies. As a parent of a child with a lot of allergies, it's hard enough looking at allergen menus when we go out and always looking at all the fine print food labels. I wanted to take the burden off of other people that have similar allergies or have sensitivities and make sure they can enjoy a birthday treat, a holiday treat, or just a sweet pick-me-up.
